February 2014 Beauty Favorites:
💜 Urban Decay Cosmetics
infamous Naked 3 palette: Let me just start by saying I absolutely love this palette! Everything about it! The Rose toned shades the array of matte and shimmer shadows it has. I love the packaging and mostly I love how easy it is to create different looks using the same colors. Like most people I made this palette a must even though I already owned both Naked 1 & 2 palettes. I knew I just had to get it and I’m glad I did because I’ve been loving it ever since and have been reaching for it all month long. My favorite colors would have to be Limit, Nooner, Dust & Darkside.
💜 Viktor & Rolf’s Flowerbomb: This has been my all time favorite scent for 3 years now it just never disappoints me. I love how long the scent lingers. I wore this fragrance even owning others most of the year but I found that I’ve reached for it more and more the month of February… I don’t know if it’s because it’s the month of loveeee lol but It’s just such a romantic yet sexy scent that I know I’ll never get enough of and has never let me down.
💜 Mac Cosmetics Stereo Rose Mineralized Skin Finish: I purchased this in the beginning of February I believe it came out in The Fantasy of Flowers collection at Mac and all though it is a re promote I didn’t own the one that came out in 2009 so I’m not sure of the difference. It’s a light medium warm toned peach with a coppery bronzed metallic sheen. I have absolutely been loving this as a blush/highlighter just above the apples of my cheeks.
💜 Sigma Beauty’s F80 Flat Top Kabuki Brush like many other beauty bloggers/vloggers has also been one of my tried and true, holy grail brushes from Sigma. It is that amazing! I love how much of a full coverage effect it gives and when really buffed into the skin how flawless any foundation or bb cream can look with this bad boy.
💜 Laura Mercier’s Silk Crème Foundation: I live in Manhattan and if you live in New York too then you know how cold this winter has been to us. I have oily skin mostly on the t zone area like most people and this foundation has worked great for me during these rigid months. Turning my somewhat “dry” dull skin into a more dewy, radiant, healthy skin. I pair this foundation with Sigma F80 and walla magic! I like to use it in a pat/ dabbing motion before buffing it into the skin and my shade is Cashew Beige.
💜 Aēsop Rind Concentrate Body Balm: Thanks Sophia Chang for putting me on because I’m absolutely obsessed with this product! The pink grapefruit and lemon zesty scent is so refreshing and I love how moisturizing it is. It’s really nursed my skin especially my hands this winter. Not to mention how much I love the industrial old school medicine tubey packaging.
If you follow me on Instagram you know I just had a “Little Lush Re-up” situation where I restocked on this and a few other products I used up during February.
💜 Lush’s Breath of Fresh Air: I absolutely love this toner, it’s packed with vitamins and minerals… Seaweed, Rose and Aloe Vera. I like to keep a bottle in the fridge for a spritz during hot summer days… That is if I’m not too busy with my Mac Fix+ ☝️it’s also great for all skin types.
💜Angels on Bare Skin: This is one of my favorite scrubs handmade with Almond, Lavender & Rose that leaves my skin looking balanced and feeling fresh not to mention has such a heavenly scent.
💜 Lush’s R & B Hair Moisturizer: My Baby! A hair moisturizer that my hair and I have been in love with since forever. It has avocado, coconut & jojoba oils and has the most amazing orange, jasmine, flowery scent. I even use this to tame my frizz and flyaways. It’s really rescued my hair this dry cold winter. This also works amazing for you curly hair beauties to revive and balance.
💜 Jordana Best Lash Extreme Volumizing Mascara: For $2.99 this drug store mascara gave all of my holy grail highend Mascaras a run for their money. The way this mascara transforms my lashes with one swipe is unexplainable. It DOSN’T CLUMP AT ALL. So you can pile it on to build up on that volume. The only thing I find and I don’t really mind is that it might transfer a little on your under eye area if you apply it to your lower lashes. With most Mascaras I use I wipe off the excess amount into a napkin so that I can build and not start off with such a big amount of product.
💜 Jordana Easy Liner for Lips in Tawny: This shade is like the perfect your lips but better shade for me to line or fill my lips in with. I love that it’s retractable so it’s easy to use without having to stop and sharpen. I love the firm tip! It’s also inexpensive and great quality.
💜 Mac Cosmetics Lipstick in Angel:
This lipstick is a semi sheer- semi opaque coverage but it’s build able. I love the light glossy creamy sheen. It’s such a pretty pale rosey pink I’ve been loving all month long paired up with most my favorite eye looks!
Hope you all enjoyed! 😘
